Yesterday and today have been ideal. Yesterday Bonnie, Jordan, Heather and Melanie and Jenn, Natalie and Cliff and Jon, Haley, Sophia and me all went to the zoo. The weather was gorgeous and fun was had by all. After the zoo we ate dinner at Applebees with the Calls and then went for ice cream.
Today was equally as nice but not as busy. We spent the morning at home then took a quick trip to Costco followed by an evening at Uncle Raj's. He helped Sophia ride her corvette and bike.

Bird watching
The other day Haley and Sophia were in the living room looking out the window, I asked them what they were doing and Sophia said "bird watching" (Sophia loves to watch for and identify birds). A little while later I asked them what kind of birds they were looking for and Haley said "eagles and cocks". Jon and I quickly corrected her, letting her know they are called "hawks". Needless to say, it was very funny. I love the funny and innocent minds of children.

Philippians 4:13
Sophia quoted her first bible verse the other day, Philippians 4:13; I can do all things through him who stengthens me. She learned it in preschool. She enjoys school so much and is just like a little sponge, soaking up knowledge. She has also learned the story of Adam and Eve in chapel time. It is so cute and makes me so proud. I am so blessed to be this litte one's mom, she is constantly enriching my life.

Morning of Surgery
December 4th is finally here. I have been waiting for this day for five months now. I have mixed emotions, part of me is so scared and the other part is excited for my munchkin to finally get her teeth fixed. I am trying not to let her see the worried side but I think she can sense it. Oh, did I mention that it is 4am and I am awake. I can't sleep.
One day when we were at one of our favorite places, Target, I asked her what was on our list to buy and she replied "new teeth, mine are all broken". That broke my heart. She is a beautiful girl with or without teeth.
She is my world and I pray she is safe and does well in surgery. I can't wait until noon, the surgery will be complete by then and we be very close to going home. This puts things in perspective and makes me realize how truly special life is and how blessed I am to have such a wonderful daughter.

LuLu, Lucy, Pupcake and Marley the dog
Well, I finally did it... I got Sophia a dog! It is a white Maltipoo and is no bigger than a bunny. I will have to admit, it is adorable and so far has not been as hard of work as I expected. Sophia has been great with taking it potty and being its "mommy". It is so neat to see her love and care for something so much, everytime she holds the puppy her eyes just light up and it makes whatever mishaps we might encounter all worth it. We cannot decide on a name which is why I have been referring to it as "puppy". I told Sophia she is in charge of naming it and so far she has come up with Lucy, LuLu, WuWu, Pupcake, Snow White and Tinker Bell. Those are all great names but it is a little boy, a little boy with a pink collar but it is still a little boy. I suggested Marley, Charlie, Max and Timmy and so far we have yet to come to an agreement so I told her whatever she chooses it will be but for now we call it puppy. I will upload pictures soon.
